Bio
I'm Kaoru Shiina, also known as SHIINASAMA. I build software that respects how people actually work — fast, native, and distraction-free. Most of my work lives at the intersection of macOS desktop apps and developer tooling.
I believe good software disappears into the task it serves. The best tools are the ones you stop noticing — they just work, and they stay out of your way. That philosophy drives everything I build, from Wi-Fi analyzers to chart libraries to CLI scaffolding.
I work primarily in Swift, Rust, and TypeScript. Most of my projects are open-source because I think readable, inspectable code is part of building trust. When I'm not shipping software, I'm writing about the craft — usually on Medium.
Outside of code, I'm interested in engineering efficiency, data processing, and building practical tools to improve real-world workflows in the energy and power industry.

Philosophy
Readability
Code should be inspectable. Open-source isn't just a license — it's a commitment to transparency.
Native
Respect the platform. Good macOS apps feel like they belong on your desktop, not like web pages in a frame.
Disappearing
The best tools are the ones you stop noticing. Software should serve the task, not demand attention.
